1. Who is your customer?

Ok, here’s the most important part of this whole survey: understanding who your customer is. It’s critical to know the language they actually use, so for these questions, draw on your customer research and actual quotes (not imagination unless you absolutely know them inside-out).

2. Who is your perfect customer?

Demographics, income, job, location, beliefs, internet usage habits, etc. More specific is better (and more effective). And importantly: how do they describe themselves? Don’t skimp on the details here. To do this, you might find it helpful to visualize 3-5 of your best prospects--real-life customers who you would love to clone.

3. How well do they know you and your offer?

Have they seen your ads, and emails? and they know what you have to offer and how it can help them? or are they completely unaware they even have the problem that your product solves?
